Dr. Hans Stromeyer, MBA, CertPM, CertEng
Dr. Hans Stromeyer is the President and CEO of Stromeyer & Partners Consulting., Houston, Texas In 2008, he was elected to be member of the Review Board of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Garching, Germany. His biography comprises leading positions at Vesalius Ventures Inc., Houston and Spacehab Inc., Houston. From 1987 to 1999 Dr. Stromeyer was the Director of the Department of Astronaut Training and Simulations of the German Aerospace Center in Cologne, Germany and Project Manager of the MIR 97 Mission, which was a long-term mission of a German Astronaut to the Russian Space Station MIR in 1997. In 1984, he was selected to be an Alternate Astronaut for the first German Spacelab Mission D-1, a mission on the American Space Shuttle in 1985.
He is the winner of the Price of the German Project Management Award of 1997. He served as a member of the Project Excellence Jury for several years and is holder of the Needle of Honor of the German Project Management Association GPM.
Dr. Roland Ottmann, PhD, MBA, CertPM, CertEng
Dr. Roland Ottmann is the executive partner of Ottmann & Partner Ltd. consulting and training for excellence in project management. In addition, he gives lectures in project management at German universities. For ten years, Dr. Roland Ottmann was a member of the Board and for four years the President of the Board of the GPM German Association for Project Management. He was the initiator of the German and International Project Management Awards, project manager for the assessment model for project evaluation Model for Project Excellence. From 1996 to 2006, he has served as a member of the jury for the German and the International Project Management Awards. With degrees in mechanical engineering and economics (Higher National Diploma, Nuremberg, Germany), project management (Diploma, Henley on Thames, United Kingdom), business administration (Master of Business Administration, Henley on Thames, United Kingdom), and strategic, program and project management (Doctor of Philosophy, Paris/Lille, France) Mr. Roland Ottmann has extensive, varied experience in project-based management at both the theoretical and practical levels.
